John T.A. Pawluk, CPA
Mr. Pawluk began his career in public accounting, entering the securities industry in 1996, at Cantor Fitzgerald as Asian Markets Controller. He joined Maple Securities, USA in 1998, as Financial Controller, managing financial and regulatory books and records for their US Broker-Dealer while expanding into a leadership role at the firm. John became involved with structuring and managing onshore and offshore hedge funds, growing to over $ 500 million in AUM. He moved to PFTC Advisors in 2005, as CFO, focusing on building out its onshore hedge fund. Mr. Pawluk joined TORC Financial as CFO in early 2008, initially consolidating proprietary trading firms and managing traders and offices. John's focus at TORC was preparing the Broker-Dealer and software firm for a private equity event, culminating in August 2009 with Instinet's acquisition of TORC. While at Instinet, Mr. Pawluk, as Managing Director of Finance, integrated the newly acquired Introducing Broker business into Instinet. In September of 2010, Mr. Pawluk, along with the core team from TORC, formed Victor Securities, an Introducing Broker-Dealer, licensed and regulated by FINRA and the SEC.
John graduated from Siena College in 1993, with a BBA in Accounting and holds the CPA, Series 7 & 27 licenses.
Mr. Aronoff began his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1991, as a Financial Consultant, managing accounts for wealthy individuals and families with a focus on wealth management including retirement and education planning. In 2000, he commenced his career as a Professional (Proprietary) Trader working with two well known trading groups. Craig joined TORC Investments & Research in 2006, as the Director of Business Development, focusing on providing superior service to start up, and mid-size hedge funds. In August of 2009, TORC was acquired by Instinet. In September 2010, Mr. Aronoff, along with the core team from TORC, formed Victor Securities. Over the last 10 years, Craig has built an extensive network in the hedge fund and professional trading industry. This network consists of: hedge fund service providers including hedge fund attorneys, administrators, accountants, auditors, fund of funds, and family offices. The sole purpose of this network is to provide added value and superior service to current and future clients.
Craig graduated from Adelphi University in 1991, with a degree in Business Management, with a concentration in Finance, and holds the Series 3, 7, 30, 55 & 63 licenses.
Mr. Franzini began his career at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1999, as a financial advisor for wealthy individuals, with an emphasis on retirement planning. In 2001, he traded a proprietary account for a well known trading group. During 2002 and 2004, Scott worked on the floor of the American Stock Exchange (AMEX) for Equitec Specialists, a global proprietary trading firm, making markets in options and ETFs. Mr. Franzini joined TORC Investments & Research in 2004, as the Director of Trade Support and Client Services. Scott and his team provided superior service to clients ranging from startup to mid-sized hedge funds, market makers and proprietary trading clients, for TORC's proprietary trading and risk management software, including position management and complete trade and settlement support. TORC was acquired by Instinet in August 2009. In September 2010, Mr. Franzini, along with the core team from TORC, formed Victor Securities.
Scott graduated from California State University Northridge in 1999 and holds the Series 4, 7, 24, 55 & 66 licenses.
Mr. Bakhler began his career on Wall Street in 2001, as an Assistant Trader at Mayflower Capital Management, quickly mastering the intricacies of trade execution and the importance of risk management. In 2004, he joined Cohen Capital Group, now the largest Designated Market Maker on the floor of NYSE AMEX, where he lead research efforts on market microstructure issues such as average quote spreads, trade-to-trade price continuity, and depth/breadth of limit order books. In 2006, Kevin joined TORC Investments & Research to start its Introducing Brokerage division. Over the following years, he was thoroughly involved with servicing emerging hedge fund managers and proprietary trading groups, along with supervising overall risk management of the firm. In August of 2009, TORC was acquired by Instinet. In September 2010, Mr. Bakhler, along with the core team from TORC, formed Victor Securities.
Kevin graduated from New York University with a degree in Economics and holds the Series 3, 4, 7, 16, 24, 27, 53, 55, 63, & 86/87 licenses. Additionally, Mr. Bakhler has earned the following charters and certifications: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CMT (Chartered Market Technician), CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst), CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement), and FRM (Financial Risk Manager).
